Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

Wondering what Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will do for your company? Your Exchange Server plans should be part of an overall migration strategy, one that starts with upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007, then Exchange Server 2007 and finally Microsoft Vista.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 has been designed to deliver increased protection and productivity for your business messaging needs. As a native 64-bit application, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 exceeds previous memory and cache limitations. This allows for higher performance and increased scalability as mailbox sizes grow to accommodate user's demands for more storage. The 64-bit technology allows better protection from vulnerabilities at the OS and application level.

Outlook Web Access (OWA) has been completely redesigned to make the user more productive anywhere in the world. The interface closely resembles Microsoft Outlook 2007 for ease of use. Drag-n-Drop and less pop-ups have increased the speed and usability of OWA. Check out a quick overview at the following link: Outlook Web Access Overview

Microsoft Office 2007

Wondering what Microsoft Office 2007 will do for your company? Your Microsoft Office 2007 plans should be part of an overall migration strategy, one that starts with upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007, then Exchange Server 2007 and finally Microsoft Vista.

Microsoft Office 2007 redefines the desktop experience through a newly enhanced user interface, a new graphics engine and improved task management. With the new interface users can create powerful, persuasive documents and prioritize time and task more effectively. The user interface changes as your document changes, giving you more options to enhance the document on the fly.

Outlook 2007 has a new "To-Do-Bar" to create a consolidated view of day-to-day priorities including e-mail messages flagged for follow-up, upcoming appointments, tasks from Office OneNote 2007, Office Project 2007 and Windows SharePoint web sites. The search has been reinvented to do keyword searches through Outlook 2007 including attachments.

No worries about compatibility. Microsoft Office 2007 has complete file compatibility with other versions of Microsoft Office so as you upgrade your recipients do not have to worry about not being able to read your files.

Microsoft Vista 2007

Wondering what Vista will do for your company? Your Vista plans should be part of an overall migration strategy, one that starts with upgrading to Office 2007, then Exchange 2007 and finally Vista.

A phased approach allows you to upgrade Windows XP (Microsoft ended support for Windows 2000 in January), Office 2007 and Exchange 2007 first. This will minimize all the changes required for Vista and also allow for the first Service Pack release of the Operating System.

Please understand Vista is a new operating system and will have a learning curve, different hardware requirements and potential application issues. It does, however, have many benefits such as the "Aero Glass" look and feel, integrated sidebar and search, Group Policy Objects, and Security improvements to name a few.
